Recent Events at Pride 2001

Recent successful events have been as follows;

Stall at the Big Gay Out at Point Chevalier - (18th February 2002)
The Big Gay Out was as much of a success this year as it was last year despite the sporadic rain.

Art Exhibition at Kamo - (February 2001)
As part of the Hero Festival in Auckland, we organised an Art Exhibition at Kamo Cafe at 382 Karangahape Road. This ran for a month, and the opening was well attended.

Spring 2001 Fifth Annual Auckland PRIDE Centre Spring Exhibition of Art at KAMO Cafe & Bar was well attended, better than last year, and we also had the Follow the Yellow Brick Road Photographic Exhibition which ran for a month, the opening of which we had a full-to-capacity crowd in the Centre.

Pride Stories at Dead Poets Cafe, organised by Jonathan Else, was extremely successful, despite the piano at the venue disappearing without warning. A replacement was found, and a good evening was had by all, with a full-to-capacity crowd.

The Summer Art Exhibition was also very successful, the opening at Pride being another well attended event, and several artists exhibited some first class work at Pride over the following month.
