The Auckland PRIDE Centre maintains the largest computer data base of LGBT information for the whole of New Zealand. Many overseas visitors contact us for advice before travelling around the country. People telephone us or come in to find out what is going on in Auckland ; we tell them about the various LGBT-friendly venues they can go to, upcoming events, the many community organisations they can contact for help and advice and the social and support groups they might like to join.

Our website contains links to the sites of over 200 NZ & international groups & organisations, LGBT History, HIV/AIDS, Queer search engines and News providers etc, as well as 50 sites concerned with general information about NZ & Auckland.

NEWSLETTERS
Members of the Auckland PRIDE Centre receive a Quarterly Journal and regular international LGBT e-mail news reports. (contributions are always welcome)

LIBRARY
Members receive the use of our Members Lending Library of over a thousand volumes. The reference section includes a selection of local and overseas LGBT newspapers & magazines.

ARCHIVE
We are currently collecting material relating to the LGBT community of Auckland to form a historical archive. (donations and input gratefully received) See our History of Queer Auckland.

RAINBOW MERCHANDISE
The Auckland PRIDE Centre sells rainbow flags, stickers, badges etc. (cash only) Members receive a 10% discount. See Merchandise Page

LGBT PRIDE EVENTS
Each year we organise various events to promote a positive and affirming image of the LGBT communities. Each year we facilitate two exhibitions of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Art.

ART COLLECTION
Several LGBT artists have donated art works to the Auckland PRIDE Centre. The 72 pieces of the collection are routinely rotated between storage and display. Artists also lend works for display & purchase through the centre. See Our Art Collection

COMMUNITY GROUP MEETINGS
Ten LGBT groups currently use the Centre for meetings outside of office hours. The Centre can accommodate about 25 people, is wheelchair accessible, has a Video, CD & tape player, and tea & coffee making facilities.

The Auckland PRIDE Centre is the Umbrella Organisation for LGBT ( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender ) Groups in Auckland. Founded in 1988, we are a non-profit organisation with a charitable status, administered by a Board of Trustees. The Auckland PRIDE Centre relies largely upon donations and the generosity of our volunteers to provide our services.
